Interesting thought... Well before everyone mentions im crazy other than the EFF supporters, my claim is based on numbers so take two minutes to think about it. Think of it as a business, Mr Malema is going after a market share in that is the largest in the country (the poor and un-educated).
There were 17 million votes cast in the last election of which 11.5 million went to the ANC, 2.5 Million went to the DA, COPE got 800K and well the other 2 Million went between the smaller parties.
This next election is also a major first, babies born in 94',95',96' will be able to vote so they may have no allegiance. There were a total of 1.5 million new babies of which 70% are uneducated and not in varsity or work which is about 1.1 million. Now let say Julias gets 10% of the ANC vote, and 50% of the new voters vote that puts him at 1.1 mil plus 500K so 1.6 Million votes.
I personally do not think its that unrealistic to assume that there are another million voters out of the masses that like what he says, angry with the ANC or hell just want a change. He may not win but as an opposition he will obtain more financial backing for the election in 2019.
To think that his facebook page Economical freedom fighters of South Africa already has more likes than the ANC page shows that there are people that like what he is saying. Just a thought but lets hope these numbers lie.
