I have had just about enough of people living in La La land.
If I get one more request to “like this if you want to save the Rhino/orphan/puppy (fill in anything really).
C’mon people. Seriously? Do you REALLY think that clicking like is going to do anything? Do you think adding your name to the online petition is going to do anything either?
And for the same measure, all the Slutwalks and Anti-abuse campaigns will not change a darn thing in a rapists brain.
The only thing that will work is bringing back the death penalty. But sadly all the online petitions will not change our government’s view on the matter.
Go ahead, click another like on facebook and see if it does anything. Nope. Crime still rising. Women still getting rape.
Why don’t you stop being keyboard warriors and do something real. With your name and your face and not hiding behind the interwebs.
How about the whole country strike! Yes, you heard me. We ALL strike until the government adheres to our demands.
No, but wait, I have that meeting on Wednesday and my boss will be so cross and what if he fires me and then what? What will my coworkers think? Will they join the protest? Probably not. South Africans are very good at whining but not at all good at standing together to make a point.
Our forefathers and mothers who died and bled for this country would be ashamed of the lot of you. (“Mag die erwe van ons vadere vir ons kinders erwe bly”. God, I wish!)
