Unfortunately I have to work through a labour broker for my current employee. They are very happy with my work and management really looks after me however the labour broker doesn't!
I have been at my work for 3 years now with the same amout of pay and sorry for me I get paid by the hour and I have had no salary increase since I have started here.I am really passionate about that what I do and I always go the extra mile however I recenly learned that my brokers were making quite a good sum of money off me.
About a year ago my contract had to be renewed and they sent the contract via email to me.When I was reading through this it came to light that they accidently sent me the contract that was between my labour broker and the company that I serve. To my astonishment they were getting R30 per hour for every hour that I worked. When you ask them for an increase the usual BS of no money is brought to light.
Previously I never understood why the unions wants government to get rid of this practise and the more I think about it the more I understand why. They for one take some of our money and we never get anything in return. At my place of work there are about 25 people employed by this company and on average we work 170 hours per month so the sum is - R30*(25*170) = alot of money!!!!!
