Its been a while since I've steamed up the blogs with my ethereal insights and for today I wish to focus on the emotional needs of Leaders and their resultant conflicts
A while back I had a chat with Satan and I asked him about the love lost between his unholiness the dark prince and our Lord the Holy.
According to Satan, God started it.
When God created action figures [us], he made us much like himself and only enough for himself.
Satan saw that this seemed like a lot of fun. Satan, then started to trick action figures [us] into playing with him also and the result was that a general contest between the Holy and the unholy started.
Lots of negativity followed, and it wasn't long after the bloody Roman empire that rock and roll music and breast implants were deployed.
Bands like Metallica and Cliff Richard started harvesting souls for the respective competitors.
Sir Cliff Richard was reeling in souls for Satan with songs like... Devil Woman, and Metallica was rocking it up with Nothing Else matters... ultimately setting their fans on a forgiving path of spiritual wisdom.
And then came African politics...
Jacob Zuma was elected by action figures for another term and so was also raised to God-like status. At first I didn't think much of this development, but soon after all Zuma supporters started complaining of head-aches... and they were wetter behind the ears than ever before.
Two days later it was clear. They were all growing shower heads. What was even worse was that the supporters now started to like their new showerheads and what at first seemed like a disease, was now considered salvation. Free water and sanitation had arrived; Zuma's first miracle had come true.
I started to get the picture. These gods needed their action figures, like the action figures needed them. The relationship was one of need.
God created man out love because he felt the need to love something.
Satan created Cliff Richard because he felt the need to be loved by something
And President Zuma created his followers because he felt the need to be loved by someone.
But how much love was enough, and were any of our gods into tough love?
When interior designers from Nkandla were hired to revamp hell, the first thing they noted that there wasn't enough air-conditioners. They addionally added that, although windows weren't recommended [a security issue] with Zuma's upgrade they later were installed anyway as thousands of Zuma's guests suffocated.
Aircons, as it turned out, didn't supply oxygen. And although windows were a serious security issue, not having oxygen proved fatal...
This was Hell after all, and not the laughing stock of the universe. So Satan opted to go with windows... and aircon and nice lounge room furniture... all made from dead animals.
With hell revamped it wasn't long before God phoned up the interior decorators from Nkandla, to also have a look at existing aircon, spice reception up a bit, with designer couches and stain-glass windows.
It looked pretty.
Meanwhile, the funds for Bibles, teachings of love, scary campfire stories, and funds for schoolbooks were spent on cool stuff for the Gods, and the people loved it. Only they didn't.
While these gods competed with each other to win the hearts of action figures, the funds and resources for being Gods were wasted.
Clearly these Gods quest for love was insatiable ...
I got hold of Dr. Phil via twitter and asked him about this bottomless pit of Godly Cravings that constantly required more and more and more.
Here's what Dr Phil had to say... Well it all springs from the Maslow triangle [that isn't a triangle.]
1. Man [or God] needs to breath[see nkandla aircon], have sex[see nkandla chalets] ... got it
2. Man needs to feel safe, have fences or pearly gates etc. Private property etc. [the kind of stuff Juju wants to "nationalize"]
3. Man wants a sense of belonging to a group. With Gods this usually conflicts with point number 1, 2 depending on who landed the contract.
4 Esteem... oh brother, man wants to feel good about himself and have the respect of others. This is where I feel TOUGHLOVE would have scored some points for the Gods.
5.Self-actualization, morality creativity or lack of prejudice, accepting of facts. Only God, carpenters, masons, artists and Nelson Mandela, Edward Snowden made it up to here.In short... how do we make our Gods feel loved? They have emotional needs too, and without constant reassurance they will grow terribly unhappy blow our budget on retail therapy where a simple hug would have sufficed.
