Since the ANC came into power a few individuals have benefited from having ANC in power and mostly it’s from their top brass and the NEC members and their families especially the so called political deployments into the private sector for what exactly it sounds like they “go take the company shares and will call you when you are Rich” e.g. Ramaphosa, Magcozoma and others.
Now that is out of the way let me as ask the question:- as a young black person who has grown up in the location and realized that since the ANC is in power what is it that has changed start from the so called councilors in wards that we stay in that most are led by the ANC the only thing that has improved is their house and they bought flashy cars to go with. Is this what has politics in this country has come down to get into politics then get rich.
Starting from local government to the presidency politics in this country have become get rich quick schemes. Why am I letting these individuals that speak the language of togetherness as long as their pockets are full have my VOTE? WHY SHOULD I VOTE FOR YOU AGAIN???
Honestly if we were to vote based on morals and values of an individual in the government today the top 300 ANC officials will not qualify… I honestly think our parliament is full of a scandal it’s all about who exposes who first to gain what???
Let anyone who is in government at whatever political level whatever party tell me that they honestly got into government based on their social standing and good morals and values I doubt its all about what they did in the ANC all those many years ago… sorry but that does not change the current situation in this country where the money is spent on the most useless things i.e. Nkandlagate, gambling board, ANC centenary celebrations, Moving parliaments.
At the same time the same people are trying to get more money from tax payers by introducing e-Tolls we are already paying too much food is going petrol increases every month cost of leaving is getting higher all the time.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying that I’m poor or rich and I’m not asking for a handout or a grant from the government all I’m asking is honesty about your spending of my hard earned money and no scandals, honest governing of our beloved Republic Of South Africa.
I thank you
Edwin Twala
