Dear Editor,
The march is long overdue in my books; big business has undermined government for too long and played with the expectations of the poor people.
It suits the minority in SA not to deal with the problems with comments such as "can't we move on, chip on the shoulder" are not helping in reconciliation.
Reconciliation can't happen on the terms of the minority. Government policies are clear on BBE, AA, EE but racially based or minority organisations such as AfriForum have fought against implementation of such policies to a point where the courts have rendered them irrelevant, where judgements have set precedence on their future application.
Business has failed to take the opportunity to lead transformation in the broader society, and then someone will...
Young Lions have finally woken up and no amount of opposition will stop the anger that has been contained for this long.
The mother body only needs to catch a wakeup call now and start policing implementation of its policies while broader economic issues are debated. But time to talk over, enough talking has been done, results are needed.
SACP and the YCL have erased themselves from part of being history. Mangaung 2012 should resolve on breaking the alliance with the SACP.
