RE: Compulsory car insurance on cards.
What I cannot understand is why this has not been enforced years and years ago!
In the USA and UK (the ones I am sure of), it’s an absolute requisite to be insured.
If you get stopped by a traffic officer you need to show your certificate of insurance or you're in BIG trouble. This SHOULD be the law in SA as well.
Cars (well their drivers) should also be fined for headlights/tail-lights not working.
But, I guess that would mean Metro would have to actually work and not sit hiding in the bushes! BUT on the upside, Metro, think of how much money you could make.
Here's to hoping it happens soon.
