Nepotism is one of the major challenges that confronts would be employees everyday. In today's world we find people in well-paid positions not because those people qualify, but because their uncles and fathers are the bosses.
If you don't have a next of kin in a position of authority then your chances of getting a job are very slim. Those in authority can simply give their unqualified relative the position of a secretary, while there are lots of qualified unemployed secretaries out there.
Those who practice nepotism do it very wisely in that they advertise a position for formality's sake.
Nepotism is unfair. Those who get jobs through it should be ashamed of themselves because they form part of the corruption that exists in this country.
Sometimes when people apply for a job, they are told that their faces do not fit that particular position regardless of how qualified that person is in that field. Can u believe the absurdity of this?
People who are practicing nepotism are also one of the reasons why there is abject poverty in some parts of our country, because the people in authority want to share all the wealth there is with their relatives first before others can be brought in to the picture.
