Buses on all Gautrain routes were not running on Tuesday morning, the company said.
"The details are very sketchy...none of the [125] buses are running this morning," said spokesperson Errol Braithwaite.
"It appears this is a sympathy stay-away related to a bus driver who was suspended pending a disciplinary hearing."

Personally I think this is unacceptable.
The bus service between Queenswood and Hatfield was operating; very strange that the other bus services couldn’t operate.
This is inconveniencing us as Gautrain passengers; the Gautrain service should make alternative arrangements because this will happen again in future.

Dear Editor,
I arrived to a large bewildered crowd of passengers outside the Rosebank Gautrain Station this morning.
Nobody knew why the Gautrain buses were not running.
Just by chance we flagged down a Jhb Metrobus in Oxford Street. I had to pay R9.20 instead of R6.00.
After a roundabout route I finally got to work in 35 minutes late.
I suggest that someone from Gautrain should be on hand at the said bus stop in Oxford St, should this happen again, so that they can tell us what our options are.
Also, it is about time that Gautrain Bombela gave us an update on the repairs on the Gautrain water problem between Rosebank and Park Station.
