Dear Editor,
I read with horror the story a horrific murder of an innocent school boy in the name of Satan. Two weeks ago two Soweto girls (younger than 15) committed suicide and a suicide note on of the girls apparently said that she would like to get away from "these satanic people" and the only way she could get away was from these people was to die.
How sad. My greatest worry is the people that deny the existence of the devil and his demonic angels. It is so funny that many people do not question the existence of God when things go according to their liking and yet they question his existence when they don't.
Various psychologists have come out in droves in denying the existence of the devil in the name of a "psychological problem". How many murders are we going to experience before people open their eyes that the spiritual world is real and manifests now in the natural with the things that we see happen today?
How many people have been killed for "muti" purposes and psychologists reduce this to "psychological problems". We do have words such as "witchcraft", "witch", "curse", "demons", etc. Would we really have these words if there was no substance behind the words?
Wouldn't it be possible that the devil is using the so-called psychologists to deny his existence so that people may take his presence for granted and be ignorant so that he can continue with his deeds?
Please understand me, I am not saying that all psychologists are used by the devil but it is worth noting that the religious movements that have been in existence before the psychologists came into being all acknowledge the existence of the devil and demons.
As long as schools remove the teaching and practicing of religion from our schools, I do not see any reason why the devil should leave our schools alone.
People also deny the adverse impact of the horrible music that some of these groups portray. Just listen to the lyrics of music such as Rotten Christ, Meat Loaf and - believe it or not - The Beatles. You can all remember John Lennon's Imagine. Listen to that song and tell me that there is no demonic influence in that rendition.
