What Steve Hofmeyer did may be seen as standing up for Afrikaans singers and the way how they are sometimes treated by the media.
And I could have agreed in some way, but I strongly disagree with his statement: "Even Jesus would not just have stood by and watch his family and friends being humiliated".
This is blasphemous! There is NO WAY that a human can predict
what Jesus would have done in ANY situation. Several times, Jesus
endured pain and suffering, eventually dying on the cross. This was a
great sacrifice for His people.
I think it is very arrogant to compare your own actions with what Jesus did (or apparently would have done) on earth.
It is not to say because we have evolutionised that we can start comparing ourselves with God. Be very careful not to say things like this!
