UK media 'feasting on Zuma'

04 March 2010, 07:30  - Thokozani

Dear Editor,

President Jacob Zuma's visit to the British shores seems to have raised dead skeletons as the British media feasts on his past ways.

Knowing the British media it was a given that they would have a feast in these issues.

Having read a Daily Mail article titled "Jacob Zuma is a sex-obsessed bigot with four wives and 35 children. So why is Britain fawning over this vile buffoon?" written by Stephen Robinson, it became clear that Zama's visit would be more clouded by scandals than the main purpose of strengthening ties with that country.

The insults it hails over President Zuma are beyond me; his focus is totally against the purpose of the visit but I guess that was to be expected.

The article splashes all Zuma's dirty laundry from his involvement in the Shabir Shaik's corruption case, to the over publicised rape case.

It even goes as far as undermining our culture of polygamy, describing it as barbaric. I mean the nerve!

Describing Zuma as someone who brings disgrace to the Buckingham Palace, questioning why was he invited.

From reading the article it's clear that the British media still has a long standing grudge with Zuma and this visit presented an excellent opportunity to execute him.

Thokozani
