MUCH criticism is often levelled at members of SAPS Mountain Rise.
My recent visit to inquire about someone who was apparently arrested, proved otherwise.
At the front desk, I was confronted by a well-dressed, well-mannered, Constable P.E. Dlamini, who, without hesitation, informed me of the charges and the procedures to follow to secure the person’s release.
He referred me to Warrant Officer G.R. Naidoo, the arresting officer.
Naidoo, equally very pleasant, reiterated the procedure.
The “back to the basics” adopted by national police commissioner Lieutenant-General Khomotso Phahlane appears to be bearing some fruit. Bravo, SAPS Mountain Rise.
