parking idea is ridiculous

19 May 2016, 08:01  - Joyce.Jagaroo

YES, I did see the freshly painted parking bays and thought to myself: “Finally, our hard-earned tax money is being used properly this time’’, only to read the paper and discover that this was as a result of the ridiculous idea of implementing a parking system in Raisethorpe.

This in an area where there is so much poverty and where businesses will suffer. Must the parents of the children who attend the two schools in Chota Motala Road pay every day?

When did Raisethorpe become a buzzing area?

Initially, “parking bays’’ were implemented in the CBD because there were complaints that cars were parked there the entire day, making it bad for business.

I live in Raisethorpe and we are perfectly fine. We don’t need this system.
