Long lost found each other on Facebook

17 March 2014, 16:07

For years Mrs Parsons was talking about her child she had in the old South Africa and how she wanted to just know if her child was still alive after being adopted 30 years ago. It was always tears on the birthday and lots of heart ache.

No where she went for help to find her daughter, anyone could give proper assistance without charging a huge amount of money. As it is, financials are tight and that was just not possible as it did not come with any guarantee.

As luck my have been on her side, she found her daughter through social media, Facebook was a great instrument as her daughter traced her down and it is like a Cinderella story happening right here in South Africa. Thirty years have passed and now they are talking again.

It is sad that the kid have moved to England as it is a big distance between the two. But hearing the BBM's tingling away in the house is a blessing.

The media is great. It brings people together
