Love today is different to what it used to be, maybe because as I grow older I seek a more meaningful relationship. It is no longer about the butterflies and the milkshake dates but more and more about the dinners and the communication.
I realised that it's not even about getting married and settling down but its about finding the right person first before even thinking of marriage.
The kind of guys I meet are guys who either just want to get some or they just simply just want to get married. They do not want to be there for me they don't want to take care of me they just either, they want to get what they want and leave or just marry me with no feelings involved.
More and more people are giving up on real love and compromising their checklists for whoever is ther for me or loves me a little. We have made cheating an accaptable behaviour where people can cheat as long as they don't get cuaght and if they get caught then they must either deny it or apologise and promise to never get caught. We are settling for whoever can tolerate us and be there sometimes.
Some ladies are so desparate that they can't even say no to a proposal that's if it even comes along, because since ladies started proposing girls guys don't see the point of proposing anymore. it is more a case of i like you and if you like me too let's kiss and make it official and yes we will makes get the did done before we get bored and move to the next guy or girl we like.
I recently went to a family function and most of the ladies my age were married or commited with two or three kids. they have a steady job and are living with their own families not with their parents. It made me wonder which guys did they meet the one who want to be with them for who they are or just the one that could understand them enough to want to settle down with them.
Where is that love tamia sang about in most of her jams, or the kind of love that musiq soulchild, joe and brain mcknights sang about?
