MILO African Champions Tournament

10 April 2012, 07:55

The Minister of Sport and Recreation, Fikile Mbalula last night hosted a send-off dinner in Johannesburg for the 2011 South African MILO school champions. This was in conjunction with Nestlé South Africa and the South African Schools Football Association -SASFA ahead of the team's departure to participate in the MILO African Champions Tournament set to take place in Accra Ghana between 9 and 14 April.

The inaugural MILO African Champions Tournament was launched in 2010 in South Africa. The event amplified the programme's success, by increasing its reach to five African markets in total. During the 2010 event, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Nigeria participated in the tournament. SASFA president Mandla "Shoes" Mazibuko also wished the team well ahead of their trip to Ghana.
