I remember sitting on the living room floor, aged 10, watching Madiba walk free. I asked Mum who he was and her answer was simple, "The man who will save our country." I now understand the relevance of her statement 23 years later. I now have my own children and thank Madiba for saving our beautiful land. I thank Madiba that he freed our land, the people regardless of colour. I thank him for giving his life for SA. I thank God for blessing us with Madiba.
I do, however, wish that Zuma had the same ideals as Madiba. Madiba donated half his salary to charity!
Mr Zuma, I beg of you, stop the corruption, lies and secrecy in honour of Madiba. Bring back the glory of our country! Stop the spending of tax money on unnecessary things (Nkandla) and build our country. Our children are suffering. The education system is in shambles. Their parents are dying of HIV. Hospitals are in disarray. This would be Madiba's priority, not Nkandla or any other project. He was for the people. Who are you for?
Kind Regards on this sad day.
