Madness Takes Its (e-) Toll

18 June 2014, 12:35

So, Sanral might start issuing Summonses soon.  They offer discount and now this.

Bring it on, Sanral, but be aware that you are not above the law.  Due process must be implemented.  How will you do this?

On the verge of bankruptcy, Sanral will have to issue Final Notices, Letters of Demand and obtain Judgements against the 'defaulters'. All very expensive.  Will we, the taxpayers have to bail them out?  Will we pay them to sue us?  Has this ever happened before in other cases?

I sat up late last night, searching through my Lever Arch files for an e-Toll Agreement, with the necessary revenue stamps, which I entered into with Sanral.  I couldn't find one and doubt they ever will.  There wasn't even an application form.

Our Courts are overworked as are the Sheriff's delivering summonses for other more pressing matters.  Is Sanral part of Zuma's plan to create millions of jobs for the youth?  Will Sanral train their debt collectors to behave themselves with no threats of intimidation?  How will the Courts accommodate all of us, or will makeshift sheds be erected on Sanral property?  Where will the additional staff, including magistrates and commissioners come from?  Will we have to appear at night, over weekends and public holidays?

Has Sanral contemplated the logistics?  What is the time frame to sift through the charges, which are different if you are English or Afrikaans speaking?  How will Sanral sue the driver from Kwa-Zulu Natal who was posted an e-toll invoice when she had never driven under a gantry in Gauteng?  What about the accounts for vehicles that have been legally scrapped or sold.  What will the interest be?

And, Sanral wants to expand to other provinces?  If we google Sanral Bosses, will these keywords appear under dementia?

On the other hand, I have put my e-toll invoices to good use.  With nary a glance, I use the backsides to print my bookings.  This is my contribution to 'going green', and saves a bit on photocopying paper.  So, Sanral, please send more.

With apologies to the lyricists of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, this is my plagiarism of The Time Warp.

It's astounding, Sanral is fleeting.  Madness takes on (e-) Toll.  But, listen closely, not for very much longer.  We've got to keep control.

It's just a drive to the left and a detour to the right.  Try as they might, Sanral will not see the light.

The blackness will hit them.  The void will be calling.  It's so dreamy.  What is their intention?  Will fantasy free them?  At a Court near them?  Will we be there amidst all the confusion?

With a bit of a mind flip.  They are there in the time slip.  And, nothing will ever be the same.  They're spaced out on sensation, like they're under sedation.  This means nothing.  Never will again.

Sanral Bosses have you thought about how you will force us to pay?

No, not at all.
