"Would men take a contraceptive pill?"
I recently posted this question on an international online blog and the response I got was phenomenal. It seems that men, like the women
of the 60's, are so ready for power over their own fertility. 85% of commentators thought it was a good idea.
Comments
received from users were: "I would take it
in a heartbeat", "i'd take 100 a day, then keep 5 more in
my pocket to eat in front of chicks to prove we dont need a condom" and
"Finally! I think overall, women have proven that they cannot be trusted with
this responsiblity".
Now the question is that, with South Africa's obvious gender issues, would South African men be as willing as the international men to take responsibility of their fertility?
Would this technological innovation be successful in a South African context?
