For the past weeks, South Africa found itself in both local and international media because of many issues including textbooks and Marikana massacre, before the massacre phenomena Julius Malema was criss -crossing the country telling everyone who dares to listen about how the president of the country is wrong and needs to be replaced come Mangaung .The question which we need to ask ourselves is who is Julius? The fellow was expelled by the African National Congress after a long disciplinary process, he himself called it witch-hunting. Immediately after being frog marched out of the ANC he stated a social club called friends of the youth league with the sole purpose of making him relevant in the media and the microphone
Abuse of the Situation
When the Marikana situation happened without any doubt, he celebrated because he knew that he got the opportunity and the media to start his micro phone politics , one knows very well that his behaviour can only be done by those who are ambitious and self serving opportunists .Today Julius wants us to believe that he is champion of the poor and ordinary workers , yesterday he was moving around the country with the likes Kenny Kunene, sipping expensive French champagnes , attending lavish weddings , demolishing and building houses in very affluent suburbs , sometimes even forgetting to pay the Gardner, perhaps he needs to know is that mobilising ordinary workers with genuine demands of salaries and exploitation and try and prove a point to the ANC because it has expelled you is not sustainable. The issue of fighting for workers rights is not new in this Country; our struggle was born out of fighting for the demands of the workers and the poor hence the formation of Cosatu, which was formed for that purpose. We know very well that Julius is abusing the mourning ordinary workers of Marikana, who were shocked by the killing of colleagues he they will be vulnerable to any person who seems to sympathise, but what remains important is that we are aware of people like Julius ‘s calibre as opportunist of highest order who sees this issue as an opportunity to score a penalty.
Since the beginning of National Administration in Limpopo we were told the investigation into who led to the financial collapse of the province will give a clear picture on who is involvement and they must face the might hands of the law: the people of Limpopo waited with bated breath as to who? and when? are they going to act on those who collapsed this province , one still remembers City Press headlines written by the award winning journalist Piet Rampedi about a group of few connected individuals on how they looted the province, deciding who gets which tender, we knew very well that the time will come were people must come and answer about all those corrupt activities .we are not surprised if people are going to cry foul by saying there is which hunt , because of someone raising the this particular issue , people must allow the law to take its course without disturbance ,if you are found to be corrupt go and answer and go to jail if found guilty .
