Malema's expulsion is premeditated

20 June 2014, 11:01

In my opinion, Malema is giving ANC reasons to kick him out of parliament, but is this because he deserves to be expelled or is this action already premeditated? It is challenging being in his position especially when it comes to following these protocols, not because he is unable to understand or to follow them but because he knows that those who impose them aren’t following them, or they find it easy to manipulate or hide their agendas behind them(protocols). Besides the fact that we see ANC using protocols to delay time or get issues under the carpet (like the Arms Deal, Rape Case, Gupta Gate, Nkandla report) Malema was in their midst before and he’s the best candidate to expose such acts. Sometimes following these protocols is the best time-delaying tactic, as it is in criminal cases whereby a criminal caught in the act is still called a suspect and must be proven guilty. But in a case where someone knows the truth and says it, and the accused does not say anything except requesting the accuser to prove them guilty, protocols becomes a time delaying tactic or an escape route. This guy has been sounding an alarm since he was expelled but we painted him as an angry and bitter man seeking revenge, but most of his statements were correct and we are reaping the benefits of our ignorance today. Malema may have benefited unjustly from state funds, and so did many including our president (still to be proven guilty as per the law, right?) but it seems like he has been brought down to remember his moral and social stance hence he is fighting the injustices, something you will hardly or never see being done by any of the ANC leadership. Even in the corporate world, protocols are in place but they do not guarantee a fair treatment because those who put them in place can still manipulate them based on their moral and social stance or position of power. It is hard for a child to follow house rules when the parents who put them in place and not following them.

Zuma is above the ANC

He has in the past managed to survive a number of motions of no confidence levelled against him. The big question is: how long is Zuma going to keep on surviving the call for him to step down as president?  Read more...
