Mandela: Condolences messages

09 December 2013, 13:26

News24 Users share their condolence messages as the nations mourns the loss of former president Nelson Mandela.

May our Lord GOD give strength to the Mandela family, especially to his wife, Graca, who stood by him in sickness.
Go well Madiba, you are a true Icon.

Bernice Padayachee

Nelson Hlolihlahla Mandela was not just a freedom fighter to most of us, He was a Father of many nation. His humanity became a Father to the fatherless, a brother to the brother less, a friend to the friendless most of all, he was there to those who felt neglected and lonely not with his presence but with his love to all. Fighting against white domination and black domination was not a promise to us, but was a direction in which our recent leaders should inculcate, because he was not a black president, nor Jewish president or white president but he was people’s president, for in him, we are all equal and the same.

Long live the Spirit of Nelson Hlolihlala Mandela Long live.

Luyanda Hoboshe

You have lived Tata, may your soul rest in peace.

Mpho

I wish to pass my deepest condolences to the Mandela family and also thank them for offering their father to be the father of this great nation South Africa. Mandela has been a great leader indeed. South Africa is blessed to have had a person of Nelson Mandela’s personality to guide us out of the dark ages of apartheid to a democratic state. If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t have been where we are today. RIP Madiba.

I wish that I had been blessed enough to have met Mandela.

I personally think he is the direct definition of the word unconditional.  He has given us all a lesson in how to be humble and compassionate and businesslike in one go.

I truly think we will miss the greatest opportunity ever given to us if we don’t learn from the greatest icon ever.

Thanks
Judy Crockett

I would like to extended my deepest condolences to the Family of the father of the nation, Rest in peace Tata you will forever be in our hearts.

Gugulethu Ngwenya

Thank you Madiba,

I am a proud South African Indian to be alive in your existence, even though I have not met you but yet goose bumps always appeared,
The power and strength of such a gentle giant shows your great ability to overcome issues in our country and for us to learn from,
I for one have made and will continue to make peace with all and to live as one in our beloved country.

Your work and time with us has made a difference this is why you will rest for eternity.

RIP Madiba
With Love
Wayne Moodley & Family

Long Live Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. I believe Madiba is the BEST MAN to walk this earth after JESUS.
He united everyone on earth even now after DEATH the world is coming together.
REST IN PEACE TATA.

Alfred Pule

I am deeply grateful for the present of democracy that Mr Nelson Mandela has bestowed upon us and I hope and pray that it endures forever. It is now left on us the living to retain and maintain it for the future generations so that they can also cherish fruits of reconciliation and freedom.

May his soul rest in peace.

Tlou Chokoe

Madiba’s humility and an infectious smile will always remain with me and my family.
He has no equal in this world , both past and present, and if the present government adopted his values and took up his legacy, South Africa will become the best country in the world, and we will stand in nobody’s shadow.

Best Regards
Garry

I will cherish the moments when he was released from jail that was the turning point of my life.

Sabata Dhlomo

You have been a good father to our nation.  South Africa will never be same without you.  You built a home for all nations and you loved all human beings of all colours, religions, cultures, educational background and you were even loved by children.  South Africa loves and we will always love you.  Please look over our nation and guide us.

Shima Mazibuko
