Mandela Day poem

18 July 2013, 18:19
Never walk away and leave a limping man crawling,
Extend your hand and help him walk and walk with him,
Let him know, someone cares.
Sit not and watch the poor and the homeless die of hunger,
Offer them some food and shelter and let them know, someone cares.
Never fail to change lives, don’t walk away, don’t sit and watch, help!

Many hands make light work, so the saying goes
A little that you give today goes a long way and it’s plenty to plenty.
Needs need to be satisfied and you can unknowingly provide.
Do your bit to bring a smile to a wrinkled life-battered face
Even the poor, the sick and the elderly deserve happiness and love
Let them not abandon their dreams because you don’t care.
Assist them; they too have dreams, big dreams and aspirations.

Do not hide and ignore the call, it is in your hands!
Alleviate poverty, provide shelter and save from drugs and disease.
You can make that change happen; it is in your hands!
