Part of the funeral that got me choked was Ahmed Kathrada's forlorn tribute to Madiba. He mentioned how he has no one to turn to now, as he considered Walter Sisulu as his father and Madiba as his brother.
What a poignant end to his speech. Something tells me he's also just waiting to call it a day and join the A team of the ANC up in Heaven.Sefiso Hlongwane

Ahmad Kathrada's speech moved me when he spoke about the 1st time he met the late Tata Madiba; tall, healthy and strong. What he saw at his home after returning from hospital was this giant of a man, helpless and reduced to a shadow of his former self. I enjoyed everything about the funeral but thought it would be better if everyone could see everything and nothing to be left private because Mr Mandela was apart of all our lives and he belonged to each and every South African. We aren't allowed to go view his grave in the future which I think is silly because a lot of us would want to go pay our respect and gratitude to him. I think its something many or all South Africans would want to do. S Ballim
My moment most memorable at Tata's funeral was when Ahmed Kathrada did his tribute to our TATA...
"When Walter [Sisulu] died, I lost a father. When you died, I lost a brother. Now I don't know who to turn to,"
It came from his heart and was felt with him. He must remember that he can turn to GOD, because his 'father' and 'brother' are safe with HIM and awaits him with open arms ones day!!Denise Stubbs
