Mangaung obscure Madiba's health

19 December 2012, 11:12

Former president Nelson Mandela, 94, was flown to Pretoria from his home in Qunu, in the Eastern Cape last Saturday 08th of December 2012. That was seven if not six days before Mangaung conference would under go. The former wife of Mandela, Winnie Madikizela Mandela was watching Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs & Orlando Pirates soccer match at FNB Stadium on that particularly day and she knew nothing because she was not informed or told by the office of the presidency of any one from GCSI for that matter. These attracted the local and international news reporters, they flocked outside 1 Military Hospital at the Thaba Tshwane Military Base in Pretoria and couple of days he (Mandela) was taken to another hospital rumored to be around Pretoria which is still unknown as of now. Journalists are now speculating about the where about of Nelson Mandela.

The news feeder was only from one source that is the office of the presidency via President Jacob Zuma spokes person Mc Maharaj. Who said “Madiba was treated for recurring lung infection and the team doctors decided to a lung infection before determining when to attend to gallstones which was removed successful.”

WHY ZUMA CAMP WAS SO CONFIDENCY

Zuma camp won the top six positions outright with large margin why and how did they do it? It is any once guess? Why didn’t they use electronic voting its question for another day? The nation had to be kept in the dark almost half a day, waiting for the ballot paper to be counted manually for the much anticipated ANC top six results.

General Secretary Gwede Mantashe was interviewed in Radio 702 on Redi Tlhabi’s show on 18th December 2012 prior the release of the voters result. Where he (Mantashe) ended his interview by correcting Redi that he is the former general secretary of the ANC [at that time] and he will be the incoming general secretary this afternoon” that is when they release the voters result. And Redi said Mr. Mantashe is so confident enough to say he will be incoming general secretary this afternoon.

A lot can be read and speculation can be made from all of these without answers. For example why did they fly Mandela to Pretoria?  Why the office of presidency swept the Madiba’s health under carpet of which it is of public interest. Was Madiba health really that bad, that he couldn’t be operated in Qunu?

Why do they keep him in the hospital this long surely he misses Qunu his home and the operation was successful? While Mac Maharaj said "There is no crisis, but add that they are in no hurry to send him home just yet, until they are satisfied that he has made sufficient progress." Aren’t they keeping him in the hospital so that should he receives the Mangaung conference result or news the teams doctors will be on stand by to attend to him? Because the nation has mix feelings about the president Jacob Zuma second team. Who is fool whore here?
