Mbalula, do you fear SAFA and the PSL?
Or more directly do you fear the Iron Duke Khoza and his cronies because they have direct access to the highest office in the land and you don’t? I applauded when you ‘cleaned up’ CSA, in fact I hailed you a saviour and watched in earnest as you not only enquired, but made some brave decisions in regards to the future of South African cricket. I then observed you move along into SARU and even there you commended SARU for the transformation processes they have and went so far as asking them to share with other sporting codes as to the ‘key’ to success.
During this whole period I was biting my nails in anticipation of what youre going to do next when you arrived at SAFA... alas; you did absolutely nothing, you don’t speak about the shambles they are, you don’t commend their successes (well I don’t blame you here, there are none) but neither do you speak honestly about the lack of success stories. I don’t expect you to fire the whole of SAFA, or infiltrate the PSL, I mean face it, Khoza has more power in his axe than you do. So I would not want you to commit political suicide by challenging the Iron Duke to a duel as you my friend would lose and lose heavily. But I do expect you to at least not talk crap about us giving them a chance as the match against Norway is ‘just a warm up’ rubbish man.. have you ever heard the Proteas say “yeah well it’s just a warm up so we are willing to lose” NEVER!!
If Heynecke Meyer ever said we’re playing against Namibia as a warm up so we’ll play to lose but see new players, the nation which means you as well would literally lynch him in the middle of the pitch as we sing Shosholoza in utter disgust at the statement. So then why do / can we allow SAFA to have the privilege of basically saying we’re going to throw this match so we can see other players? Why are they afforded the luxury of losing to view players? HM had to create a new team last year, when he didn’t play well I bayed for his head and hoped it would be done like medieval practice where we could join in as a public as they guillotined him. That obviously didn’t happen, and based on current progress I’m glad HM still has his head on his shoulders and I’m certain so do his family and the majority of the Rugby loving public.
Sorry, I may be getting carried away here but - I’m so sick of having to edit all the South African players on Playstation (FIFA 13) to level 85 and so forth because the play so badly in real life.
Please do something about the state of affairs in regards to our soccer... cos believe it or not, it takes quite a while to edit players and I don’t think EA sports will keep that part of the game around forever.
A humble South African
