Romney won the first US Presidential debate over President Barack Obama. For some what they saw was a man who looked truly engaged, very knowledgeable and had obviously given the issues he spoke about a great deal of thought. To them he obviously had done his homework, but then again,he had already analyzed many of these issues as governor so now surprises in that. And certainly no surprise to his supporters. Some viewers reckon that Obama on the other hand came unprepared and performed very poorly.
Then there those who says that Mitt Romney duped viewers with what they call his plastic performance. That all he did with his so-called "victorious" segment was fire off three or four rote-learned and inaccurate numerical statistics and then give a final, side-ways smirk as a closing gesture. And that was Mitt Romney being a hit. Apart from the small matter of making facts up as he went along and then to win debating points. Managers do that sort of thing on massive private sector contracts. They're clever enough to leave you with the consequences of the mayhem they themselves have caused. The American public can see straight though Romney's double-talk. Undecided voters are looking for a leader who speaks the truth about his beliefs, not one who can occasionally seem energized and motivated. Honesty and openness is what matters with American voters!
Those that accused Obama for not having good preparation for the debate certainly don't have all the facts.Obama is said to be better for the vast majority of US precisely because he does not pretend a piddling PBS cut will actually change anything in the deficit. Even if Obama were to taxed all the rich at 100% rate it would still not make much dent in their $16 trillion national debt. The biggest culprits are the unsustainable WELFARE programs. The US Presidency, the US Congress and every State House has been infiltrated by special interest groups, corporations and lobbyists to the point that elected officials in many nations that are now part of the globalised economy become very blurred. Both the Republicans and the Democrats are run by the large investment banks in America and other powerful elite groups of individuals. The leaders of these two parties are really just mouth pieces, so any of the debates are simply a matter of who has the best mouth, the nimblest of tongue, or who is most well trained and educated to be Presidential. Romney promises a revenue-neutral basket of green initiatives that could provide 2.7million Americans with jobs in the state of Ohio and technical training to 86000 people in Nevada, with those promises he then only needs to win Virginia and Indiana to become the President of America. Also if he were to go ahead with his $4trillion tax cut, paid for by his $5trillion tax hike in other areas of the US economy would mean that he only needs to win New Hampshire,Colorado and Virginia to become president. Either eventuality seems possible for Mitt Romney.Obama could say that Romney's 47% tax insult remark would have Americans competing with Chinese workers with their inhumane hard labour and low wages.Obama did manage to get back 4.5million jobs for Americans that were lost during the last recession. Then too some asked: Has Mitt Romney ever rolled up his sleeves to wait on tables or wash dishes? If not then why does he claim to be representative of most hard working Americans when he really is just a man of the privilege. Lets see what Obama does in rounds two and three of the Presidential debate. References: 1.CNN News. 2.Bloomberg News. 3.Sky News.
