My fellow South Africans are so annoying. You lot moan about everything. You moaned when we got the chance to host the FIFA World Cup, declaring there was no way we'd ever host such a successful event. You moaned when we got the SKA radio telescope. You moaned when the government spent billions to protect you and your children from the deadly Malaria. You moaned when they fixed our roads. You moan and you moan and you moan that you forget to look at how good we have it here. We have first world infrastructure. We have freedom of association. Education is a basic right (queue in the moaners about the state of our education)- that's beside the point, your daughters are allowed to go to school unlike in other countries such as Pakistan. Being gay is not illegal. Your children do not step outside and stumble on dead bodies like in Syria and Iraq. Yes, crime is there, but it's not exclusively South African. We have come so far as a country that instead of pausing to take in what a wonderful country we live in, we moan and moan and moan. Our fellow Africans are flooding into South Africa because they see all the opportunities here that we're too busy moaning about to acknowledge. So please, fellow South Africans, who will no doubt moan about this article, can't we just for once acknowledge that we have become such negative nancies we are missing out on everything good about this country? Go ahead, start moaning in commentary box.
