Money and Morals
Is it money that makes the world we live in so corrupt or is it just human nature to be self-serving and evil. Are human beings governed by money, it seems our society has lost sense of righteousness; just take a look at our government. Why everyday we should read about people suffering, because of this unlawful acts perpetrated by members within our society, whom we trust to deliver good and reliable service to its constituency, but all we hear is money missing, and some Truth Commission is being organised to investigate the irregularities, and at the end the guilty party is awarded a lump sum of money, whilst there are children who go to school hungry, someone is lying in a hospital bed without proper medication, and another person goes to bed hungry, while there are funds available to curb out all this poverty; illiteracy and lack of medical care, only if we can put our moral values back on track, and really work for the betterment of our society, not self gratification that we see in our government officials, but strive to deliver and leave up to our promises to uplift our communities, as the State of the Nation Address assures us on providing descent living for all in this country. I hope the Nelson Mandela Bank Note won’t make things worse, by some people claiming to be “custodians” of our monetary system.
