Many people have been informed that money has no real value, as an object onto itself it is virtually useless.
This is technically true. Since Nixon abolished the convertibility of cash into gold, money has become exactly what it's always been: a piece of colourful paper. Much like an advertisement, in fact. How does that make you feel? Everyday you go out into the world, knowing that every person you encounter is likely in the same shitty situation as you - a rat, looking for anything to sink their teeth into but finding nothing but tasteless, nearly odourless paper.
You wouldn't even write on it, or use it to start a fire for fear of being found out as a traitor. Money can be a real doozie.
Personally, I don't think any of that matters. Money has no value? Get real. Advertising is a job for the soulless? Please. It seems that you don't understand how this business works, this advertising.
The truth is that money has never had actual value. It has trading power, and in a social society, made up of a social species, trading power is valuable.
How do you think the ANC won the elections in 94'? Let's use a bolder example; how do you think Hitler won the elections, time and time again? I'll tell you: effective advertising. Or rather, propaganda. Hitler and his team of marketing geniuses were just able to make German citizens think that the Nazi's advertising was more realistic, more reflective of the German heart and mindset. The same goes for everything else you can buy (read "everything that actually has value").
Advertisements show that 'we' are supplying what you want. You want to eat something tonight? Well, between work/school and home/friends you will pass hundreds of ads, all telling you that THEIR food is more delicious, more suited to your needs and thus more VALUABLE to you then the other company's food. And guess what? If you have enough money, you might just visit one of that company's stores before you get home. That's because today, in this society we all hate but love, advertising EQUALS gold - it creates value.
Who ever has the ability to place their logo in your field of vision multiple times during the day will likely make the most gold by the end of that day. Why? Because you want food (and, of course, their food will probably hit the spot). You've gone and created value.
Now some of you might be thinking, "Oh, but i'd rather eat at the Golden Dish, or at Bohemia, companies who have very little advertising power."
WRONG! These two little companies have a ridiculous amount of advertising power in their respective area's or demographic, where their value has been established. They don't need much more advertising then word of mouth and the name over their entrance.
In this world, you have to work harder then EVER. And that's not a joke! If you were born in South Africa in the last 100 years then you likely have no land to speak of, the previous government took it all with guns, policies and skewed educational practises, and then put you to work maintaining their land, like little worker ants, they being the queen. But don't be discouraged!
If you're reading this, then you're already in a superior educational and literary position then many kids out there, and YOU can be the one to educate them, if only by giving them an idea:
Every customer who walks through a company's doors creates the possibility that that company will provide not one, not two, but dozens of people with that odourless paper I keep referring to, people who have missed the truth. Money has trading power. It can buy land.
If you've chosen to spend your hard earned money on something that loses value quickly, well… Some, but not many, will shed a tear. I know.
Money has value while you still have it, not after its left your pocket, so put it where you can see it, like in the rights to an apartment, or into a vegetable garden. Then, make the intelligent financial decision. Begin advertising. Understand the value of your shit.
