I am not a fan of plagiarism, but a while back a beautiful Nicola Erasmus lady wrote an article with some tips about enjoying a Monday (http://www.news24.com/MyNews24/Off-beat-tips-to-a-having-a-great-Monday-20131007) .
While the tips were very informative , I thought that some people might not find them so easy to execute. So in response to those tips, here are some, dare I say easier, tips for beating the Monday blues:
Morning exercise :
The suggested romp in the sack is not a bad idea at all, and while I’m all for the morning nookie, we all don’t have a morning glorious husband/boyfriend/partner or h*rny wife/girlfriend/partner available at the wee hours of the morning. If masturbation (that is what the suggestive “wink, wink” meant, was it not) is not your thing, have some BALLS, some Lindt chocolate balls. Chocolate also causes the release of serotonin making you feel all warm and fuzzy. Hey and if chocolate is not your thing, have some Prozac…
Then there was the terrible, horrible, unimaginable : Swop your coffee for an apple. (I broke three fingers, and had a fit just writing that). What about popping a multivitamin with some coffee? That’s having your bread buttered on both sides!
Wearing red, makes you feel more determined? Does red underwear count? I found that there’s nothing like a good song that gets me fired up, so if your red pants have a hole in them, play your favourite song on your way to work, it will improve your mood immensely (unless your stuck in traffic, then you can be decked out in red from head to toe, and AC/DC can be in your car belting out AAAALL NIGHT LONG, and you will still get to work p!ssed off).
End your day with sweetened rooibos and a cheese sandwich (because cheese contains tyramine)? Most fermented foods/beverages contain tyramine – So have some wine instead!
Don’t have caffeine 3 hours before bed? So have some wine instead!
BTW : Red wine is very good for the heart. It contains antioxidants, which also helps fight the endless battle against ageing. (red wine in moderation – I wrote this so small cause I have a problem with the moderation part)
If these tips don’t help, and your Monday still sucks, well then when you get home follow these tips :
Go home, kick off your shoes, take off your bra/underpants/whatever (the point being – LET IT ALL HANG LOOSE), put on some good music, poor yourself a glass of whatever makes you feel good and dance like nobody is watching!
