Mount Everest can be climbed

26 March 2014, 09:53

Mount Everest can be climbed…

It costs around the same amount of money to climb mount Everest as it does to run in an election….a national election …in South Africa… the money required to run for president is for some people on this planet…a pittance…but for the ordinary person on the street… it’s a lot.

Tomorrow I am going to try to climb mount Everest again…this time with what God has given me… my brains. I am going to go to the constitutional court and I am going to challenge the Chief Electoral officer of the IEC. I believe it is unfair that to stand for public office I have to pay around 20 000 USD… my voice counts…why? I have something to say…and some of the people of this country agree with me. In fact at least 100 000. So tell me…where is the fairness or the freeness? 35 000 people signed a petition to impeach zuma…but how many actually went to a police station to open a docket? not many..in fact only 3 parties that I am aware of…and I am one of them.

So bear a thought for me tomorrow as I try to achieve the impossible again. As I try to stand up against the machine as a little man..with little support or backup… with nothing much really except a strong faith in the rightness of my cause. Can everets be climbed? Yes…it blood well can..if not today..or tomorrow … one day…as long as we don’t give up trying.
