So before I go forth and present you the reader of this article let me introduce myself.
My name is Giancarlo Franco Groenewald I am 20 years old soon to be 21 passed my matric for 2012. I am a tall person (so people have told me) and I do not smoke nor do I drink (No lies I don’t) I am what you could say in perfect condition.
Now I must admit to you that this is my first article and that I might jumble it about all over the show, but at least it provides me with a bit of experience which I have quite a lot of. Let’s just say when I was younger (I think I still am) I matured faster and thus bad fortune and some great experiences made me the more wiser than my fellow colleagues.
So back to the point of my heading let me further describe it to you. When I was 7 years old I was introduced to technology (thanks 2nd brother) and of course the way I learnt a computer was to subsequently play computer games on it. When I reached the age of around 13-14 I started to dream about owning my own little business and from there on I started planning for this so called company.
When I hit 17 years old I opened my Gaming and technology company (web based) and I tried to get it going. Which I did succeed in making around $10 (nice don’t you think) I wanted to put all my idea’s to work with this company. So everyday I fix it here and there try my best with as much as I know I even built a website from scratch.
Then one day my site hit 1000 viewers and I was so happy I went through the roof. I was always told in my childhood that “If you are passionate about what you want to do in life you’ll never need worry about money”. Ah one thing I hate talking about and it’s one thing we all need to survive on nowadays is (Money).
So where was I? Oh yes... I added what I could to the site and looking at all these self made entrepreneurs were making it seem so easy, so I carried on up till this very day. I have not made a single penny more from that $10 I followed almost every route that I could find and research, and still not a penny more. I then started thinking outside the box (I do from time to time) and then I realized something I don’t have apart from all the qualifications these self made businessmen had contacts.
Something I do not have, I know people but not as much as they do. I am not sure if you can remember the kid that built a website that companies could advertise from they paid him per pixel space on his website. Now he’s a millionaire ( I think). I then started searching “start up forums” and linked-in organisation to see if someone would like to help me out or even partner up with me or make me some type of apprentice.
I found only a handful of people and all of them to this day say so much but do nothing.
Now let me explain my situation. i have got a tick in my mind I will not throw my dream away however nor can I study in B-com or any other type of qualification 1 I dont have maths 2 I learn more on the On hand experience. Funny thing I am a people’s man I worked at my uncle’s company that he works for in IT and well after my 2 weeks of working there i was begged to come back.
One thing you don’t find in a lot of young peers today is respect and I am all about it.
Back to my point... I have even spoken to apparent South African Millionaire (not mentioning names) not related to me btw. Who said he would help me and teach me the ropes first hand and well nothing so far. Yes yes yes we are all humans and humans cheat and lie and bla bla bla.
So now to my question I am a honest person looking for anyone wanting to help me in my dream. The entrepreneurs that are honest hard workers and the people that are true to what they say, now is the time to show yourself cause I have been through all the places that say much and do nothing.
Is there anyone willing to teach me the ropes first hand?. I know people out there say school is the best place, but trust me a complete stranger a young person that sees the light and can see that this country needs more people like me ( entrepreneurs) to get it out and back onto it’s true path, I want to learn and I can do it.
That ladies and Gentlemen is my question to you. Look into your hearts please for I have already and I know what I must do. Well I hope News24 publishes this for me it is my wish that I can do my dream.
