News24 Users pay tribute to Madiba

07 December 2013, 20:55

This man was so great, he inspired me in so many ways and here is one - I'm a student of the University Of Fort Hare currently doing my LLB degree and Tata u'Mandela also did his LLB degree at this same University - that inspires me to be one of the greatest lawyers in the world to make him and my family proud.

Thank you Tata, your values you fought for will forever live within me, I learned a lot from this extraordinary man.

May his soul rest in peace.

AMANDLA!!!!!!!!!

Sixolile Mshweshwe

Well spoken ,well dressed ,well mannered ,well built ,well informed ,well known , well respected and stubborn as they come .

Will surely be missed  by his haters , lovers and supporters but greatly the  ANC or sorry I forgot HE WAS , HE WILL ALWAYS BE ANC.

Seun Phakathi

I never had the opportunity to meet our greatest icon,  but will never forget the legacy, each one teach one,  so to the youth of today "make your mark" do not settle for anything less than your best.

God Bless Nelson Mandela – May he now finally Rest in Peace

You will be sadly missed

Mike FitzGerald

I wish the Mandelas well in these trying times. May the Good Lord gives them strength. Lala go xolo, Tata. You taught us how to walk the New Democratic road.

John Brona Murhombo

South Africa and the world have lost a hero. But his example will remain.

He was one of the few leaders who understood that war destroys more than it solves.

He understood that the price of peace was forgiveness, and his popularity shows the world is desperate for real leaders, leaders who put the nation before themselves.

Rest in peace Madiba, you saved a nation and blessed a world.

- Wolfe, Pearl, Nathan & Rebecca Braude, Durban

It's truly a sad week having lost an icon to the world.

He was a remarkable gentlemen.

May he rest in peace. May his family find peace and comfort in this time.

John William

 - It's an emotional time for South Africans, and many around the world. Share your fondest memories of Madiba with us by either e-mailing or uploading.
