Now hear me out, I worked pretty hard in school OK. I even went to a nice Jewish school to say the least. I studied hard for my exams, I did all my homework, never got detention or even in kind of trouble, I even gave all my books away to the next class graduating under mine so they would save some money plus I had some notes and tips in the books to help them through the year haha) ...and after 12 LONG years in my school career I was overjoyed after 3 weeks when i found out in the paper that I had passed my matric with over 60% and majoring in art! NO MORE SCHOOL!! EVER!!
Now, 12 years is a really time don't you think? I now have all the tools, and knowledge needed to handle the expectations of the outside world and what could possibly be expected of me. I have a stable full time job, I go to college lectures every weekend, and i even contribute to my parents as i still live at home. Considering all this, i had a really good school experience. I learn alot, and i had fun :)
Now...onto serious sh*t.
In the recent plight of the ANCYL's newest and almost regular worthless contributions to South Africa (apart from the land repossession of farmers...and the nationalisation of the mining sector) this one has got to take the cake. If there ever was a golden globe award for stupid this newest idea would be it. This idea from the ANCYL is so mind numbingly backward logically...STUUUUUPPPPPIIID!!!!, that i had to write my feelings down.
Ready? Here is the ANCYL's proposal to the education problem in Limpopo (and probably even the entire education crisis as a whole...)
IF YOU DON'T HAVE BOOKS FOR NEARLY A YEAR, YOU DESERVE AN OBLIGATORY PASS BECAUSE OF YOUR SUFFERING.
When I read the article on the ANCYL's recent proposal...I literally facepalmed myself and screamt! I thought to myself "There is no possible way that people can be this thoughtless, reckless, idiotic, retarded, uneducated, ignorant and downright arrogant to protest such an idea!!!!!HOW CAN YOU BE SO STUPID???"
HOW IN ANYWAY IS, GIVING STUDENT AN OBLIGITORY PASS FOR THE LACK OF EQUIPMENT/LEARNING TOOLS...GOING TO SOLVE THE EDUCATION CRISIS?? IT WONT!!
IF YOU JUST GIVE STUDENTS FREE PASS TO A CERTIFICATE, THEY DON'T LEARN ANYTHING YOU STUPID IDIOTS!! THIS IS HOW YOU BREED INCOMPETENCY !! BY NOT WORKING FOR ANYTHING AND EXPECTING TO BE REWARDED FOR THINGS IN RETURN!!
And THEN to top it off, the parents and the elders vote in THE SAME government who doesn't give them the education they want anyway...and then when they protest and burn down the school, they COMPLAIN they don't have a school anymore, AND THEN they vote in the SAME government AGAIN! It seems the parents are just as brainless as their kids cause they probably got their matric cert. by printing it on MS PAINT!
I'm not joking here. Here me now: If i was in grade 7 (for arguments sake) and I were to hear about all the students in limpopo getting free pass because of a f**k up...shouldn;t I ALSO be entitled to a free pass and graduate to the next grade? Probably not.
Let's just say for arguments sake that this DOES happen (and in other news Hell froze over today and scientists developed pigs with wings capable of flight...) the students "PASS" the year...and move on grade5 or 8.,.whichever...and then come the next year of learning and asked to do similar problem solving in mathematics and english lit. Yhey will be like "Ma'am we got free passes so we didnt learn any of that stuff. But they said we should move onto grade (X) regardless".
You cant just give students "PASS" because they didn't learn anything, how does that SOLVE the problem? you're creating a bigger PROBLEM with no solution! Come Matric time the kids will have a Grade 3 mentality (how do i do division again? it's the (+) right?)
I think you get the picture. The ANCYL is a micky mouse organisation and with LAME-ola at the helm sh*ts gonna be really interesting for next few months.
OUT!
