In paleogeography, Gondwana (originally Gondwanaland), is the name given to the more southerly of two supercontinents (the other being Laurasia) which were part of the Pangaea supercontinent that existed from approximately 510 to 180 million years ago (Mya).
Hein Huyser does not believe that Gondwana have sutured between ca. 570 and 510 Mya, thus joining East Gondwana to West Gondwana. Or that it separated from Laurasia 200-180 Mya (the mid-Mesozoic era) during the breakup of Pangaea, drifting farther south after the split.
He also does not believe that Gondwana included most of the landmasses in today's Southern Hemisphere, including Antarctica, South America, Africa, Madagascar and the Australian continent, as well as the Arabian Peninsula and the Indian subcontinent, which have now moved entirely into the Northern Hemisphere.
He does not believe this could have happened, and so does many other people. They have no logical or scientific reason to base their decision. It is just so and that is it.
Hein’s FB account tells us that “Jesus simply did not fit. He was a challenge to Rome, a threat to the established traditions, a challenge to the Temple and institutional religion, a challenge to the authority of the priests and rulers.” Yet Hein accepts that the Earth is round, revolves round the Sun and that Earth does not rest on pillars, but does not take any further steps to understand that what was believed then, might not be true today.
Hein subscribes to agreeing that God should be relevant and not be “In their minds [He is] old-fashioned, ancient and parched, dull and gray, “past it,” not able to cope with modern life.” God must be modern thinking, yet he does not want to be.
Hein believes that Jesus is the giver of material gifts when posting a pic of his new Merc. “Kyk nou net wat het Daddy Jesus vir ons gegee!!” Yet he does not believe that other people might be given the gift of having the insight, love and dedication to study science.
He believes people mentioned in the Bible were able to resurrect other from death. Elijah (Widow of Zarephath's son), Elisha (Shunamite's son and the man tossed into his tomb), Jesus (Widow of Nain's son, Jairus' 12-year-old daughter and Lazarus, Peter (Tabitha) and Paul (Eutychus). Yet he cannot believe that continents may move apart?
Hein posted some own house rules. One in particular notes: “We do mistakes.” Yet he believes that it is scientists that are wrong, (www.news24.com/Green/News/Oldest-Gondwana-land-creature-found-20130902), not him.
I just fail to understand why such a large part of the population is so vehemently against facts, knowledge and forward thinking. Which unfortunately, Hein does make a shining example of.
Today some are happy to believe in the medical methodology used and successes achieved by Jesus 2000 years ago; the science which still is not understood nor documented, nor researched. Yet we do not believe (accept), understandable, documented and researched science of 50, 30, 10 and 5 years ago.
Hein posts, “Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be. -John Wooden”
Yet he does not even doubt for a second that he might be wrong about Gondwana........
