Noise disturbance

18 March 2014, 09:40

The is too much noise disturbance in residential arears that not even the government is willing to help. People spend fortunes on their rentals but don't get peace and safe environment they deserve. even SAPS and metro police seems to turn a blind eye.

These night clubs, taverns and shebeens have too effect on the residents health as noise is health threatening. How can whoever did that authorize 4 taverns in the same street not far from each other. Those taverns are based in Quarz street between van der merve and Bruce street in Hillbrow - Johannesburg.

People do not get enough sleep because of loud noisy music played at those places everyday, day and night. And the taxi rank based in the middle of residential arear with sttubborn adults who doestnt care about anyone but themselves. As the tavern noise goes down at 3AM the taxi drivers statrs with the hooting and loud music.

What about the noise regulations? What about the police making sure that that never happens? Those are dangerous places where all these dangerous criminals hangs around in search of victims. People get robbed some killed but our police department does nothing to assist. Who do we turn to for help.

Do we vote for another government that gives foreigners privileges? Our country is beyond repairs while our government is only looking up for their own success, forgetting the people who have put them to the top.

The concerned resident of Hillbrow
