Its the same old story, driving along our beautiful countryside and then being attacked by a pothole in which a Putco bus can make a 3 point turn. My attack happened on the 2nd of December 2012.
I thought I would try and claim compensation for the R12,000 damage and spend the money before the world ends........and in both cases I was mislead. Firstly the world did not end. Secondly I stopped counting the amount of calls I made when I reached 50, and my total hours on the phone exceeded 8.
This morning I call again, and I spoke to very helpful lady at the Director of North West Roads' office. The conversation word for word.....
ME: "Good morning, I wonder if you could help me. I need to speak to someone that could help me with a claim I have. I've hit a pothole and damaged my vehicle"
LADY: "eeeeeeeeeeehhhh hallo, yes you call to early"
ME:"What time do you open office?"
LADY:"Eight o clock"
ME:"But it is 8:25!"
LADY: " Yes it is still to early, you must call after 10. Otherwise you can call the director but he isnt here."
ME: "Why would I call him if he isnt there?"
LADY: "Maybe he can help you"
ME: "But he will not answer cause he isnt there"
LADY:" No he isnt there but you can call him"
I left it at that.
