Only if you believe in the power of prayer

22 November 2012, 10:26
The hours of the day are not many, do what you can to find time for prayer no matter how little if you believe in the power of power. You should perhaps try to pray in all situations and actions. So prayer must not be an isolated event but a part and parcel of everything you do.

So instead of just getting up in the morning, you wake up with gratitude. Gratitude for another day to experience the joy and reality that is life. It does not have to be an elaborate or eloquent prayer. The motive is greater than the act.
Before you eat, you are mindful of those who have nothing at all. While you are getting ready to go, you are looking at your family and trusting that you will see them at the end of the day. You are praying silently. As you meet people, you are not only greeting them but you are wishing them the best and blessing them. Peace be with you. You striving to spread the peace in your heart into the world.

When you start your work, you are as focussed as can be and going about your business in a way that uplifts everyone. You are working with pride and those who come your way are left the better for it. You read the news and you are constantly wishing and hoping for joy, love and peace in the world.

For the prayerful man does not wait for the right moment to say a prayer, for every moment is the right one. The words of a prayer are forever in his heart and on his lips. The prayer are not mere words but it is a life that exists within him and completely surrounds him.

While others may wonder what prayer is about the prayerful man is wondering what he is about in prayer. He asks and seeks and discovers in prayer. What he finds in prayer is beyond science and logic. It is profound, it is powerful, it is amazing, it is the essence of life itself. He is a man immersed in prayer, living for it and living by it. He life is a testimony to the power of prayer.
The prayer need not be in words that mere man can understand. For prayer is personal, intimate belonging to a sacred relationship. It is part of your covenant. Stay true, stay faithful.

Build your spiritual muscle through regular exercises in prayer. Keep fit by praying in season and out of season. Pray for the world, pray for love, pray for humility. Pray always. ~ BTM
