Open letter to Gerrit G

30 April 2014, 08:25

I am responding to you open letter with regards “Maybe we are too hard on Christians”

Since you have decided to refer some quotes by mankind and instead of trying to get the answers from the Bible, just in case you do not know it has 66 books from Genesis to Revelations, written by different people trough many generations of the past.

The place in the sky that you have mentioned, is called “Heaven”, and that is the place that many believers will go as the Bible says “Jesus answered and said to him, most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3v3).

Many readers will ask me, where is heaven? I do not have an answer for you or what it looks like, many of us can imagine a place without suffering and free of pain, I wish I could ask a believer that has just passed on from cancer after much pain and suffering, he/she might be able to answer me.

I am sure that some of the readers, might get confused on “be born again”, it is to be Christ like, reject , forgive and forget all your sins from the past, be baptized in water like John the Baptist did to Jesus.

God does not send you to hell, it is you through all your sins that you have committed and you do not ask for forgiveness, God does not create sin; he loves the sinners he forgives them as much he hates the sin.

I am pretty sure that all of us as parents have punished our Children when they commit a sin, because we want to show the truth and show them the difference between right and wrong, irrespective of anyone’s beliefs, providing that you are a good parent.

No child is condemned before being born; a child is born free from sin. The sin comes in afterwards as they grow up, especially if they go in the wrong direction of life.

The son of God has a name, and His name is Jesus, Jesus is not God, God sent his son to Earth to show us the truth and the life, he performed miracles and cured the sick and he was betrayed by his own people.

The Religion that you mention that has convinced people that there is an invisible man in the Sky, is not my religion, it might be a religion with wrong teachings and false prophets, and the Bible does warn us about it - “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction”.(2Peter 2v1)

I am a father of two lovely boys today they both go to Church every Sunday, none of them were forced by me to believe in Jesus as a matter of fact I had never forced them to go to Church on a Sunday morning, however I do not believe that we should neglect the fact that some Children are in a mess due to bad friends and the Devil activities, maybe we should ask a parent of a Child that might have gotten killed by another youngster due to the Devil activities, it is happening on our door step and right under our noses and we are ignoring it for obvious different reasons.
