Oscar is innocent

21 February 2013, 15:00
Last week I wrote an inspiring article which gave hope for the innocence of Oscar Pistorius.  I still believe this day, looking at the ongoing court case, that Oscar is innocent!

It is always a tragedy when someone is shot, especially at home or in the bathroom, but we live in a violent country and people are scared.  We are all scared and that's why we own guns.  Something must be done about this.

I will continue to believe in the innocense of Oscar as this case unravels in the courts and I can see clearly how the evidence of the state seems to be missing major components and even with suspicions of crime scene contamination.

Also today we have learned that the invetigative officer is also implicated in criminal charges so this whole case is starting to seem more and more like a hunt for witches.

I feel for both the deceased family and the Pistorius family who are traumatized but this whole tragedy.  No-one should have to have a Valentines Day of such proportions.

Let us not be like the old Romans who judged and crucified without reason.  We are better than that.  South Africa is better than that. And Oscar is better than that.

Oscar is innocent.  (Watch for this space)
