I was amazed to read what Oscar Pistorius' father told the Daily Mirror regarding the reason why his family owns 56 guns. According to him our goverment does not care about the safety of whites. On what did he base that statement?
It sounds as if all the security resources are concentrated in black areas. Well Mr Pistorius, that is not the case. Imagine if all of us use your rationale and arm ourselves to the teeth. Can you imagine the bloodshed and tears? Can you imagine how many of us will be standing in the dock trying to justify why we had to use our guns?
Off course you are going through a testing time at present. Your son is in the dock for using his firearm. Did he use it because the goverment did not protect him? No. It is because he had one gun too many. No gun will add one minute to our life. You have the right to own a gun but no one has the right to use it to take a life. It is a sad day when we put our trust in a gun to give us a sense of security. A false sense of security.
