'Pastors appreciation day'

19 January 2012, 09:03
It seems that there is a famous occultic feature being introduced by many pentecostal or prosperity preachers and it's called "pastors appreciation day".

I've recently  learned about this practise from a famous local church. On this day congregation members would bring money and"sow"it into the Pastor or spiritual leader.

A close relative of mine attends one of these churches and said that the Pastor walked away with more than R60 000. Anyway this underprivileged relative of mine still came home to her poverty situation

Doesn't the pastor get a salary? Why cant the money be used to care for the poor at the church?

Why can't the church use the money to uplift communities. R60 000 is enough to sponsor three first year students. It's more than enough to make food hampers for the poor in a church.

It's obvious that there are many Christians that allow Pastors to spiritually manipulate them to get money.

I would strongly suggest that churches use a day like this to gather money and cater for the aged, poor and missionaries.

The courts clearly want to take over the role of being the parent, so I suggest that all parents take their children to court to be disciplined by the judges. Read more...
