Having caused some discomfort with my previous article, “The weathering stone – Part 2”, an observation for people to consider when making rash statements. Once again I have copied and pasted these statements to prove my point. There are always three sides to any story, my side, your side and the truth. It is just a pity that we never hear the truth and have to try and come to some conclusion based on normally only one side of any story. The usual retort when the story is questioned is “I was there”.
Perception of mining articles

I have been in the mining industry for more than 36 years. During that period I was concerned with asbestos, copper, uranium, gold, coal, diamonds. Much of the time I spent on the gold mines in the Free State.
I have written several articles relating to the mining industry and posted on NEWS 24. In every single article I checked that it was factually correct, In every incident which occurred in those articles mentioned I was an eyewitness or at the most arrived at the scene soon afterwards. Or received a full and up to date information referring to the incident. – This is where the wheels start to fall off. Ten eyewitness’ will see an incident happening and you will get ten different stories. An eyewitness was present when the incident occurred, to arrive at the scene afterwards does not hold too much water as things could be changed to suit the situation.
Not a single article was made on the hearsay of others. In some cases I have been accused of lying about the facts or the authenticity of an article. – This is a complete contradiction to what was stated earlier on - Or received a full and up to date information referring to the incident – just as a reminder.
Irish Mike - July 11, 2012 at 19:42: Zion, no one has said you are telling untruths, only always trying to place the mining industry in a bad light. What you write about are individual cases which have a mirror case in any type of big industry. There are bad apples everywhere not only in the mining industry. Does the name "Nineteen" ring a bell at all? – This was a reply to one of your articles that you chose to ignore. Instead of trying to find me in the mall try and comprehend what I have said here, you might just get a clue.
Unfortunately you will have to obtain the investigation reports on any incident reported on this forum as my side will still not be heard.
