Maybe, I am over reacting but my irritation levels rise when dealing with maintenance services.
A plumbing or electrical problem, say, prompts me to call the relevant service, describe the problem and make an appointment for the repair.
The chaps arrive in their van and are shown the problem area.
Now at this stage I want to leave them to work their magic, call me on completion, pay for the service and wave them off.
However, they keep looking for me :
S'cuse me but do you have an extension cord.
S'cuse me but do you have a star screw driver
S'cuse me but do you have a step ladder
S'cuse me but do you have any washers
S'cuse me but do you have insulation tape
S'cuse me but do you have an Allen Key.
Yikes, I spend so much time rummaging for implements that one would assume they would carry with them that when they ask for some ice water to quench their thirst, I want to slap them!!!!!!
