Platinum credit card issue

Hi,

I've been struggling with a matter for 3 months now. I noticed a debit order going of my Standard bank account which I did not authorize. After going in to the bank I requested the detail of the entity who took the money of my account. The bank sent me the number of Stratcol SA.

After phoning them they gave me the number of Platinum Credit cards. I phoned them and told them that I'm not even a client of them. They gave me the name and telephone number of the platinum credit card holder. I tried to phone him but his number belonged to someone else. Platinum credit cards asked me to send them proof that the account belongs to me and then they will stop the debit orders. I have done so 6 weeks ago.

I had to go to the bank every week to reverse 2 debit orders. After I sent the proof to Platinum credit cards, the debit orders stopped and I assumed that the matter has been resolved. Today 29 September 2012, four debit orders to platinum credit card went off my account. I phoned them in desperation just to be told that after 21 working days my money will be refunded. I am not worried about the money, because that I can just go reverse. I am worried that this is happening to so many people who does not even notice the debit order going off their account. I searched the internet and came across so many other complaints exactly the same as mine.

The amount of effort we have to go through just because Platinum Credit Cards do not verify their clients banking information is just ridiculous. Any way I do not know what to do anymore to resolve this issue. I am hoping that some bad publicity to all three of the entities would get some response out of them.
