Poison in rhino horn claims first victims?

10 January 2013, 12:01
Hello there. And happy nuwe jaar.

I own a game farm in the Limpopo province. During the last 2 years, I have lost 75% of the rhinos on my land. As a last resort, towards the end of last year I started injecting poisonMade by a friend of mine who is a vet, in the horn of my animals. By this action I hoped to stop the poaching.

In October a further 2 rhinos of mine were killed, and the horns removed.

Since then I have been keeping an eye on the news and social media around this issue. Much has been said around this issue, but I found these videos on the internet. I'm not sure if it was my poison or someone else's. But it seems to have worked.

It makes me sad, but this may be the only way to save our rhinos.
