Ascending to the top of politics, is like surmounting K2. The higher you go, the slippier the slope gets, with unseen crevasses.
One needs to start at base camp, hown your skills, build a team, constituency, credibility and moral authority. Politics like mountain climbing, is a team effort, and in order to lead, one also needs to follow. One ultimately gets voted into a place of leadership, by your fellow peers.
Para-shooting in an untested politician, albeit a renown academic and business woman, could work, but the team dynamic needs time to adjust. There is just something lacking for me. The words and the actions shape the impression of, just another politician, on a marsh to personal power. There is a lack of sincerity, conviction, a fire burning deep within her belly, to drive her forward when times get tough. There are many younger leaders in the DA that are earning their strips, and are working their way, to the top. Personally, I think generation X candidates should be groomed for top positions, as they can better relate to the issues of baby boomers and generation Y.
Time to regain narrative and focus...
