Watching that CBS's programme,Reality, the other night,I was looking for their logical explanations on paranormal phenomena, demonology or just random acts of nature being played out. You have to say that some people dismiss the "supernatural" or "paranormal" as just providing the linguistic place-holding until we find the natural and normal causes for it.
Poltergeist is neither a spirit nor a ghost according to our paranormal and parapsychology experts. It is usually described as an invisible force or entity, and the nature of poltergeist has long been a subject of debate within paranormal circles.
Other disagree though and say that poltergeist is really a Noisy Ghost, and that it is a particular entity that lives up to it's name and definition whereby poltergeist activity can really traumatized people so much so that it makes them feel scared when they don't even know why they are scared.
What is "natural"?
Natural to some of us in layman's term means obeying the laws of nature as we understand them. So what happens when we can't explain why something that ain't supposed to happen, happens or things happening for no reason and that they don't even obey the laws of physics? What then experts?
Poltergeist activity is said to be energy that is unknowingly controlled by a living person most likely by one particular individual within a household setting.A target man if you will!
Poltergeists also have the power of psychokinesis, which is the ability to move objects with the mind and not much else.Phychokinetic activity may enable us to access powers that we are not even consciously aware of.Two sets of energy fields are at work and we should really consider such activity with an open mind.
What about Demonology?
Wikipedia defines demonology as the systematic study of demons or beliefs about demons. It is the branch of theology relating to superhuman beings who are not gods. How do you see it? Are demons underworld forces that play their part in poltergeist hauntings? Are unsettling experiences that people have with the supposed supernatural or the unexplained, an exposure to demons or just strange flukes, plays with our imaginations or freaks in nature and nothing more?
Demons are said to be very mischievous, malevolent and that a strong sense of fearfulness surrounds their manifestations. Ghost Hunters across America that make it onto our tv screens, frequently tells of the levitation of objects, certain electrical interferences, unexplained shrieks, vile smells and bad odours, and the appearance of blood in incomprehensible places as part and parcels of ghostly activities or a demon being present and at work.Accounts tell of them even trying to sexually assault an individual.
Are any of the above to be taken seriously at all? The evidence suggests that it usually is viewed as unscientifically credible and that such activity is generally considered to be pseudoscience at best.
The Devil, demons, witches, or ghosts of the dead are to some us to 19th century to be real in our modern world. Are some of us just susceptible individuals and that paranormal activities are really caused by the subconscious mind and nothing more?
Are ghostly entities just bits of energy that are out of place? Does a full moon mean anything? Are cemeteries a hotbed for suchlike activities?Should we ever rule out prosaic explanations? Does our body ever stop living and consciousness doesn't but just keeps on going? Is it the cultural discomfort of the uneasy association with both life and death that makes such events look real? What do you think?
